70s denim skirt vintage style

My 5th grade teacher loved to wear below-the-knee denim jumpers. In fact, she either wore the same one every day or she had quite the collection of them, because that’s all I remember her wearing (or 5th grade me had an oddly selective memory). This skirt, I’d like to think, is cooler than a late ’90s jumper, but it still has an undeniably dated vintage look.

I tried the skirt on initially with a striped top very similar to this, but I don’t think I pull off literal 1970s as well as Julie, so I opted to update it a little.

Ethical choices are bolded below:

  • Lace Inset Top – old Forever 21
  • Skirt – Vintage via Low
  • Belt – Thrifted
  • Shoes – White Mountain
  • Earrings – Indie via Fab
