the moral wardrobe: basically

I often don’t know how good I feel in an outfit until I photograph it. I’m more willing to experiment with poses, lighting, and props when I feel confident in something. Even though the base components of this outfit are rather, well, basic, I really enjoyed wearing it.

It’s been interesting navigating my fall-prepped wardrobe through the last few weeks of unexpected warmth. Harsh fall sun paired with temperatures in the 80s don’t go well with layering.

Ethical choices are bolded below. Retailers taking steps to become more ethical are bolded in gray.

  • Top – thrifted
  • Dress (worn as skirt) – H&M
  • Flats – H&M
  • Necklace – handcrafted via Hill Country Hill Tribers (a great cause!)

Thanks. It’s an out of the ordinary statement piece for me, but it can completely change the way an outfit looks. Also, it’s hand tatted, so it’s really special.
