the moral wardrobe: people tree

people tree faces top ethical outfit people treepersonal style fit and flair skirt

I finally placed an order at People Tree. It was a headache because the website doesn’t have a USD option, so I had to keep calculating the conversion rate as I added things to my cart.

I bought the Faces Print Tee, Maggie Striped Dress, and one of the Goody Bags. Unfortunately, the Maggie Dress and most of the Goody Bag items were ill fitting (too small in the neck, too large in the bust, too long in the waist), but the Faces top – my favorite of the bunch – suited my shape just fine. Too bad I had to return the dress and send a couple items to my sister. I’ll have to stick with the looser, casual items when ordering in the future.

Ethical choices are bolded below. Retailers taking steps to become more ethical are bolded in gray.

  • Top – People Tree, fair trade
  • Skirt – Old Navy
  • Shoes – Keds (old)
  • Earrings – American Eagle (old)

  1. I just made my first order, too, and got the Faces Print Tee! I first saw it on your site, and I’m so excited for it to arrive. 🙂
